We hosted a lively standing buffet party where everyone mingled freely and the conversations flowed effortlessly. The casual atmosphere encouraged guests to interact with new people, share laughs, and enjoy delicious food and drinks. It was a wonderful evening filled with great energy and engaging conversations.
Tanabata, also known as the Star Festival, is a traditional Japanese event celebrated on July 7th. It originates from an ancient Chinese legend about the romantic story of Orihime (the Weaving Princess) and Hikoboshi (the Cowherd)—represented by the stars Vega and Altair. According to the legend, these two lovers are separated by the Milky Way and are allowed to meet only once a year, on the night of Tanabata.
On this day in Japan, people write their wishes on colorful strips of paper called tanzaku and hang them on bamboo branches along with other decorative ornaments. Streets, schools, and shopping arcades are often adorned with festive decorations. It's a beautiful celebration that blends romance, hope, and tradition.
